Vivid oil paintings inspired by people, animals, and nature
Clina Polloni is a contemporary artist born in Chile, whose passion is expressing herself through colorful paintings inspired by her love for people, animals, and nature. She moves easily between impressionism and realism, and over the years has developed a style that is entirely her own.

Clina is a contemporary descendant of the Polloni family, merchants and artists originally from Florence, Italy. Art has run through the family for generations. For Clina it started early, she began painting as a little girl in her great-grandfather's studio. After graduating from the University of Chile, she moved to Raleigh, NC, where she began her lifelong career as a designer artist, and teacher.

Bright color is at the heart of everything Clina creates. She's drawn to bold, saturated palettes that bring warmth and energy to the canvas. She will turn even a quiet still life or a familiar landscape into something vivid and alive.

"I live for the arts. It's the creative energy I wake up for every morning. A new painting, a new inspiration, telling a story in a painting — it's like a book of bright colors and happiness."

Teaching fascinates Clina just as much as painting does. She loves seeing the joy in a student's face when they look at their own work with new eyes. When she teaches, she likes to talk with each student, to understand what's inside their feelings and what they want a painting to say. Clina welcomes students of every age, from grade schoolers making their first brushstrokes to seniors discovering a new passion.

Clina's portfolio spans oil paintings of landscapes, seascapes, flowers, still life, and people, all inspired by her love for people, animals, and nature. Her newest project explores the human figure in dialogue with nature's light and color, portraying people in their environments and everyday activities, and representing both American and Hispanic culture.

Clina lives in Franklinton, NC, just 20 minutes from Raleigh. Her farm is home to her ART studio. There she exhibits her paintings and offers painting classes.
